Anyone Can: Celebrating a Year of Impact at Wembley Stadium Foundation

A word from our CEO, Paul Findlay MBE

“Our first year of Anyone Can has been about turning ambition into meaningful impact. Together with our incredible partners, we’ve opened doors to sport, movement and the performing arts, creating opportunities for people and communities who might otherwise have been excluded.

From investing in community-led organisations across Brent and building strategic partnerships with organisations delivering meaningful impact nationally, to supporting grassroots football teams across the country and giving young people the chance to experience the magic of Wembley Stadium through our Learning Zone and Foundation Box, we’re seeing first-hand how these opportunities are breaking down barriers, changing lives and strengthening communities.

What stands out most is the impact beyond participation itself. The confidence being built, the friendships being formed, the sense of belonging and the opportunities that can change the direction of someone’s life.

Working alongside Bean Research to develop our first-ever Impact Report has given us a chance to look beyond the numbers, better understand the difference our funding is making, and hear directly from those whose lives are being positively impacted. It also provides an important foundation for how we continue to learn, improve and strengthen our approach.

I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved in this first year, but even more excited about what lies ahead. Our partners, and the coaches, artists, volunteers and community leaders who make this work possible, deserve enormous credit.

This report is a celebration of their commitment, a reflection of what we can achieve together and a reminder that, while we’ve made a strong start, our ambition to create lasting change is only just beginning.”
